In collaboration with ARID Meshtastic Operations Network Corps (MONC), ARID has developed a project to fix the bug of Meshtastic Devices that were flashed with a Hamvention Firmware, in which when flashed with a regular vanilla firmware after, the device still stuck with "HAMVENTION" which made the app/clients keep showing that. This fix is purely for aesthetics.
We developed a firmware file set that can be flashed to the device just like any other firmware, and is free to use and flash. It is based on the lastest stable and unstable vanilla builds as of 5/22/26, and has ZERO changes in exception for the firmware line that is responsible for telling the app/clients that it is a VANILLA firmware, not a HAMVENTION firmware.
If you have a specific device that you would like to request to be supported in this project, please email us at s@arid.club, and we will be sure to get that firmware made and added ASAP.
Please note that ARID is not responsible for this firmware flash not working for any reason. We don't anticipate that, but if something goes wrong, for some unforsaken reason, we can't help replace a bricked device, for example. But really, we just dont anticipate that. Just follow instructions.
This firmware can be downloaded via our google drive folder at the button below. Please read the readme files for additional info if you are unfamiliar on the process of flashing firmware to your device.
This project involves creating a drone with ham radio repeater capabilities. The purpose is to create a portable and versatile solution to repeater deployment on the field. This is separated into 3 groups:
Drone Construction
Miniature Repeater Construction
Control Boards for the drone and repeater
